Collaborative Vocal Improvisation (CVI) Workshop
Feel the thrill and artistic possibility of your very own voice in this Collaborative Vocal Improvisation (CVI) workshop. CVI is the art of co-creating vocal music in the moment. Led by the incredible Briony Greenhill who is a true master of her craft. Briony teaches and performs vocal improvisation internationally and has been described as”the Rolls-Royce of singing teachers.” We’re getting the good stuff! She’s co-released the world’s first entirely improvised 5 and 6 voice albums (Listen and Remembering), and her recent debut solo album was featured in The Guardian and on Radio 3 and 4. Here is a short film about Briony’s teaching. Briony is in the lineage of Bobby McFerrin, Rhiannon, Joey Blake and others, and holds the transformational aspects of the art form with skill and care. Your vocal chords will be invited to chop and change, unite and rearrange!
A wholly welcoming workshop open to all levels. Briony’s Collaborative Vocal Improvisation (CVI) workshop is all about the connecting power of music. Join us for a symphonic session of enriching sounds that’ll leave you feeling uplifted and connected.
Briony Greenhill is “one of the world’s leading proponents of collaborative vocal improvisation (CVI)” – The Guardian.
